Who are Bristol Scrappers?

Bristol Scrappers were established in 2004 originally meeting at kitchen tables until the move to Backwell Parish Hall, which is about 8 miles from Bristol on the A370. We meet on the 1st Saturday of each month. We are a small friendly group of various different talents, some scrapbook, some art journal, some like altered art, and some like to crochet and sew. New members are always welcome, please contact us using the form below for any further information.

National Scrapbooking Day

As National Scrapbooking Day coincided with our Bristol Scrappers Crop I felt I should do some pages, getting into the flow I finished 6 pages.  I usually look on line for inspiration that I can 'scrap lift' and came across a layout that would go well with one of my photo's.  When the day was finished Amy looked at my layouts and said I did one like that, I showed her the photo I was working from and it was her layout I had found on the web, just proves you don't need to search the web, just check out what your friend's are doing and pinch their ideas!!!!

My finished pages from the day ....

Thank you Amy for the inspiration!

 Happy Scrapping (or scrap lifting!!).

Thanks Katrina!

At our July crop, Katrina generously offered around some rather fun patriotic papers and embellishments, and I came away with a handful of chipboard bunting. At the crop I was concentrating on cards, but I wanted to share how I used the bunting. It is really effective so very many thanks.

Our new member Irene also generously gave us all a choice of stamps sets after a family clear-out. I'm really looking forward to trying them out, so I want to say a public THANK YOU for those as well. There is no crop next month. Have a lovely summer everyone, and I look forward to meeting again in September.

June crop - Rosey

I ran out of green card, and hadn't brought my Crop-a-dile with me, so I had to finish FIL's card when I got home. Thanks for the loan of your Happy die Amy!

June Scrappers Roundup

Firstly we have to say a huge welcome back to Vanessa one of our old Bristol Scrappers who has now come back to the fold, lovely to see you.  We also welcomed a new lady, Irene, welcome and hope to see you again next month.

We were quite a small group today but everyone was very industrious!  Amy got her usual six layouts done, one lovely layout which was hand doodled and coloured.  Carroll completed some of her project life pages and a scrapbook page.  Vanessa got lots of scrapbook pages done, well back into the flow after being away.  Emm made a lovely scrapbook page, a jotter and a painted heart.  Rosie made a lovely Father's Day card, it wasn't quite finished so she will post a photo herself.

I completed my June Calendar page and a couple of scrapbook pages, you can see my blog post here www.pawprintsonmyart.blogspot.co.uk.  I also had my little mate today, Amelia, Emms Daughter, we had great fun getting very painty (sorry Emm!) making matchbox robots and stenciling pages.

Here are some photo's of the day.

It was lovely to have Boo back at our last Bristol Scrappers after a long absence, great to see you again. She brought in some of her mini patchwork ad embroidery to show us, some amazing work.
